Our Commitment to Student Privacy

At Chicago Run, we believe that keeping kids active, healthy, and socially connected goes hand-in-hand with keeping them safe. We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy and security of every student we serve.

In partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and in strict compliance with the Illinois Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) and FERPA, we enforce a rigorous "data minimization" policy. This means we only collect the absolute minimum information necessary to run our programs safely and track fitness progress.

What We Collect & Why

To help students set goals and participate in our digital platforms, we collect basic classroom information (like student names, grades, and schools) for enrollment and tracking. We also securely measure physical and social-emotional growth through tools like the PACER fitness test and the Hello Insight survey.

Our Privacy Promise

  • No Selling or Marketing: We never sell student data, and we never use student information or survey responses to market or advertise products to kids.

Strict Oversight: Only authorized Chicago Run team members who directly manage your child's program have access to this information. We do not share data with unapproved third parties.
