September Social: Team Relay Race and Happy Hour
hosted by Chicago Run’s Next Generation Board!
Thank you to everyone that joined us for the 8th annual Summer ‘September’ Social fundraising event hosted by our Next Generation Board. After over a year and a half of virtual events, we were so happy to see you all in person again for this team running challenge followed by a happy hour celebration. We hope you’ll join us again next year!
When: Thursday, September 23, 2021, 6-9 pm
Where: Meeting point and happy hour at Roots Pizza, Lincoln Square (map) - Relay/running portion at Winnemac Park (map)
What: Gather a team of 4 or sign up solo for a relay race challenge. Runners will meet at Roots Pizza and complete the 4 x 1-mile relay in nearby Winnemac Park. After the activity, participants will head back to Roots for food and drinks. Team prizes and raffle packages will be available!
Who: Friends and supporters of Chicago Run, including runners of all ability levels and non-runners, are encouraged to join. Don’t want to participate in the running portion? No problem! Just purchase a ticket to join us for the happy hour celebration.
COVID-19 Note: While we are eager to celebrate with you in person, we know things aren't totally back to normal yet, so we will be sure to follow all local safety measures. Both the running portion and happy hour portion of this event will take place outside and masks will be required indoors.
